March 24th 2019 LCO “French Delights” Concert

For the next concert in our 50th Anniversary Season, Lancashire Chamber Orchestra will be performing two exquisite and charming pieces by Ravel; Le Tombeau de Couperin, for which we are delighted to feature Maxine Rose on harp, and the Pavane pour une infant défunte.

In the second half of the concert, we will continue our travels in France by playing Mozart’s joyous symphony No 31, The “Paris” featuring our superb wind, brass and timpani team.

Our Maestro for this concert will be our principal conductor, the effervescent Mr Robert Chasey.

As usual, there will be a delicious selection of cakes to enjoy with your tea or coffee at the interval.

LCO would like to dedicate this concert to the memory of our very dear friend and colleague, Andrew Morley.

Tickets can be reserved in advance via the Contact Form below, by phone: 0161 980 4275 or on the door, but please arrive early to guarantee yourself the best seats in the house!!

Lancashire Chamber Orchestra would be delighted to welcome new string players to join our merry band!  We rehearse on occasional Sundays in Lancashire and Cheshire and give two or three performances a year in Altrincham, Cheshire.  We are also very privileged to be regularly invited to accompany some wonderful choral societies in Lancashire, Manchester, Cheshire and Derbyshire in their fabulous repertoire.

We are always very happy to welcome new players able to combine a high standard of performance on their instrument with a strong commitment to the orchestra's schedule. We are a friendly group who strive to our best endeavours to perform to the highest possible standard and simply enjoy making music together. Come and join us in this rewarding and stimulating venture.
